Going back to work in New Brunswick after an illness or injury, and your employer wants a medical clearance note? A TelePlus Care provider meets you by secure video or phone for a full assessment of your recovery and your job duties, then decides whether you are ready. The assessment visit is $80, and the $60 certificate fee is charged only if you are cleared.
Book Return to Work Assessment$80 assessment visit · $60 certificate only if approved

TelePlus Care issues return to work certificates in New Brunswick only after a full assessment with a Canadian licensed provider. The assessment visit is $80. The $60 certificate fee applies only if you are cleared to return; otherwise there is no certificate fee.
Clinical content is reviewed for accuracy and scope. TelePlus Care appointments go ahead only when a doctor agrees it is the right call, after a real assessment, and the doctor will explain the next step if virtual care is not the right fit.
Distances across the province can turn a clinic visit into most of a day. If you have been off with an illness or injury and your employer wants clearance before you return, a video or phone assessment is often the practical route. The provider goes over your recovery and your job duties with you at home.
This is different from an ordinary doctor's note. A note covers the days you missed; a return to work certificate states that you are fit to resume your job, sets your return date and, if the provider thinks it is needed, lists temporary limits such as lighter duties or shorter shifts.

Clearing someone to return to work is a medical decision, so it always starts with a full visit. Nothing is signed before the provider has talked with you.

There are two separate charges, and you only pay the second one if you are cleared. The assessment visit is billed like a regular TelePlus Care appointment.
The provider may decide you need more recovery time, or may want more information first, such as test results, a specialist report or an in-person exam. If so, the $60 certificate fee is not charged, and you are told what comes next: more time off, a follow-up visit or an in-person appointment.
If the provider wants you examined in person, there are emergency departments in Saint John, Moncton and Fredericton, among other hospitals in New Brunswick. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department for anything life-threatening, and Tele-Care 811 offers free nurse advice when you are not sure where to go.
