If your employer in Markham wants written confirmation that you are fit to return, start with a full assessment visit with a TelePlus Care provider by secure video or phone. The provider looks at your recovery and what your job asks of you before deciding. The assessment visit is $80, and the $60 certificate fee is charged only if you are cleared.
Book Return to Work Assessment$80 assessment visit · $60 certificate only if approved

TelePlus Care issues return to work certificates in Markham only after a full assessment with a Canadian licensed provider. The assessment visit is $80. The $60 certificate fee applies only if you are cleared to return; otherwise there is no certificate fee.
Clinical content is reviewed for accuracy and scope. TelePlus Care appointments go ahead only when a doctor agrees it is the right call, after a real assessment, and the doctor will explain the next step if virtual care is not the right fit.
Markham employers tend to want documentation in writing rather than a quick phone call. If you are going back after an illness or injury, that can mean a signed clearance from a provider before your first day back. The assessment takes place by video or phone, so you can arrange it from home.
This is different from an ordinary doctor's note. A note covers the days you missed; a return to work certificate states that you are fit to resume your job, sets your return date and, if the provider thinks it is needed, lists temporary limits such as lighter duties or shorter shifts.

Every certificate starts with a full assessment visit. The provider decides after hearing about your illness or injury, your recovery and your duties at work.

You pay for the assessment the same way as any TelePlus Care visit. The certificate itself is a separate charge, and it applies only if you are approved to return.
The provider may decide you need more recovery time, or may want more information first, such as test results, a specialist report or an in-person exam. If so, the $60 certificate fee is not charged, and you are told what comes next: more time off, a follow-up visit or an in-person appointment.
If you need an in-person exam or tests before a decision, the provider will explain where to go. Markham Stouffville Hospital serves Unionville, Milliken, Cornell, Thornhill and nearby areas, and Health811 (dial 811) gives free nurse advice when you are not sure what to do.

Bringing these to the visit usually means the provider can decide the same day.
