A return to work certificate, also called a fitness for work or medical clearance note, confirms you are well enough to go back to your job. From Gander, you can have the full assessment by secure video or phone with a Canadian licensed provider. The assessment visit is $80, and the $60 certificate fee is charged only if you are cleared.
Book Return to Work Assessment$80 assessment visit · $60 certificate only if approved

TelePlus Care issues return to work certificates in Gander only after a full assessment with a Canadian licensed provider. The assessment visit is $80. The $60 certificate fee applies only if you are cleared to return; otherwise there is no certificate fee.
Clinical content is reviewed for accuracy and scope. TelePlus Care appointments go ahead only when a doctor agrees it is the right call, after a real assessment, and the doctor will explain the next step if virtual care is not the right fit.
Shift schedules in town often expect paperwork to arrive quickly. After an illness or injury, your employer may want a provider to confirm you are ready before you are put back on the schedule. The full assessment happens by video or phone, so you can take care of it without leaving home.
Employers often ask for this instead of a sick note. A sick note explains an absence, while the certificate confirms you can safely go back, names the date you return and can set out temporary restrictions, for example lighter work or reduced hours.

The certificate is never issued on request alone. A provider first needs to understand what happened, how you are recovering and what your job involves.

You pay for the assessment the same way as any TelePlus Care visit. The certificate itself is a separate charge, and it applies only if you are approved to return.
The provider may decide you need more recovery time, or may want more information first, such as test results, a specialist report or an in-person exam. If so, the $60 certificate fee is not charged, and you are told what comes next: more time off, a follow-up visit or an in-person appointment.
If the provider wants an in-person exam, James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre serves Gander and central Newfoundland. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department for anything life-threatening, and 811 HealthLine gives free nurse advice if you are not sure where to go.

Having these ready helps the provider make a decision in one visit.
